The Greyhound, Stockbridge

The philosophy behind the Greyhound is London food without pretension. The old pub has been remodelled with considerable charm and offers a comfortable atmosphere in which to dine or just have a drink. There are nice fireplaces, beams, polished wood floors and comfortable furniture on which to sit for an outstanding meal.

The modern approach of chef Darren Bunn results in a compact menu using well sources local products with season specialities.

The service is understated but efficient and the wine list offers a good selection for those with a modest budget.

The Greyhound is mentioned in the Good Food Guide

The Clos du Marquis

Germain and Glanis Marquis now own the reopened Leckford Hutt. Germain is French and for the past three decades, he worked in South Africa where he owned fine restaurants and a game lodge. He has decided to settle in Hampshire and get back to cooking modern French food using the best local English produce including meat from John Robinson’s. As Germain likes to cook fish and we are close to the sea then look out for some special fish dishes on the menu.

There is a good wine list with some excellent French wines.Glanis is South African and brings a great deal of charm to the front of house.

Every month there will be special events such as wine tasting, food from different regions in France, possibly some South African themes. Every first Wednesday of the month there will be a musical evening withl entertainment from the Add Hock Group and much more.
