The Abbots Mitre

The Abbott's Mitre had had a  long had a reputation for good pub food, friendly service and a range of cask beers to suit most tastes. It was a good place to meet friends and family and as a base for walks in the area. The Abbots Mitre also featured occasional live music and there was a juke box with some of my favourite tunes on it. The pub was on the site of the old village blacksmiths shop and next to the village pond, now the pumping station. It had won the  the Test Valley in Bloom Best Pub award in the past but something went wrong. But now Chris & Karen have chosen to move in and take over. The initial days were difficult with no supplies and the usual problem of taking on a failing business but first reports are great. A fuller story will follow soon.
